WELCOME TO ROCKFORD TENNIS!

Register today to enjoy Fall league play which starts after Labor Day. Adults of all skill levels are welcome to play singles and doubles. Matches are skill-based.

Fall I SINGLES starts THURSDAY, September 9

Rockford Tennis is a multi-purpose Community Tennis Association (CTA) that is registered with the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and incorporated through the Illinois Secretary of State.

Rockford Tennis is an independent organization founded in September 2006 and directed by Lisa Peterson Dunlap. It exists to fulfill the mission of developing a vibrant tennis community for Rockford area adults who enjoy the competitive and social aspects of the game. Indoors. Outdoors. All year through.

Rockford Tennis offers indoor leagues & events at the Boylan Tennis Center September – May. Outdoor leagues & events are at Guilford, Harlem, Hononegah and Jefferson High Schools June – August. Location is based upon participant preference.

RockfordTennis.com is an extension of Rockford Tennis. The function of this website is to share tennis news valued by players, coaches and parents in the greater Rockford metro area. As of July 2010, Rockford Tennis is partnering with Northern Illinois Pickleball.

Rockford Tennis works to fulfill its mission by employing ten tactics:

1.
Build partnerships with local organizations.
2.
Host adult leagues for beginning, intermediate & advanced players.
3.
Create and promote adult tennis events.
4.
Use the National Tennis Rating Program (NTRP) to categorize players.
5.
Maintain an active player list for finding hitting partners and subs.
6.
Provide information about local courts on which to play.
7.
Post information for children as well as high school and college players.
8.
Share information about wheelchair & adaptive tennis programs.
9.
Provide links to tennis camps, clubs, resorts, travel, gear and more.
10.
Post photos and news affecting the local tennis community.
