On Rockford Tennis' three-year anniversary, sixteen players on eight teams competed in the September 12 Doubles Slam at Jefferson High School. Match play began at 9 a.m. and ended by 1:30 p.m.

J-Hawk finalists Lisa Dunlap and Angelo Washington returned to their alma mater for a win.

Each of the eight teams played three other teams in three rounds of play. All matches consisted of one eight-game pro set with regular scoring. The winner of each match was the first player to win eight games by a margin of two. A ten-point tiebreak was played when the score was tied at eight games all.

Players enjoyed each other's company as well as complimentary water, cookies, granola bars, chips, apples and bananas in between rounds of play.
